About Us

We are a local, professional dog-walking and small animal visit service for Bicester. Run by Rachel Newman and Sam Connor, two qualified Veterinary Nurses who will provide a high standard of service so you can be away from home knowing your pets are in safe, experienced hands.

We know the importance of keeping your beloved pets happy, relaxed and safe. The services we offer provide you with peace of mind.

We take great care and respect towards you, your pets and your property. We do the utmost to keep your pets happy, comfortable and relaxed while you are not able too.

After working as a Veterinary Nurse for over 10 years, setting up Cozy Paws was perfect for me. Now 12 years on I couldn’t wish for a better job. I have always enjoyed the great outdoors and you’ll often find when I have time off I’ll be hiking up a mountain somewhere or swimming in a lake. Spending my days walking dogs give me so much joy. Watching them run/play and interact with each other, whilst tiring them all out. I have a dog of my own, Charlie, so he’ll often join me. I also have 2 cats who rule our house. As a pet owner I understand that they are part of the family and always treat all pets as if they were my own. It’s important for me to know that your animals are happy and that we give them the care and attention they need. Spending most of my life working with dogs, I have decided to study Animal Behaviour, and once qualified hope to introduce behavioural sessions. 


Rachel Newman

I’ve always been animal mad! Training to be a Veterinary Nurse was my dream job but after starting a family it was hard to carry on. I was able to run Puppy Socialization Parties for over 10 years at the vets alongside setting up Cozy Paws which was so much fun but I sadly had to stop this a few years ago. When Sam & I decided to set up Cozy Paws in 2010 it was perfect as we could work around family life and I still got to be surrounded by animals everyday. Cozy Paws has given me so much joy over the years and my daughter especially has loved spending the last twelve years growing up around all the wonderful animals. It has given us so many wonderful memories and she has a special bond with animals too. We have a crazy little terrier of our own as well as two very spoiled Guinea Pigs & an adorable Hamster. I can’t imagine doing any other job, I hope I can help many more pets over the years to come.
